About Ready Set
Ready Set was established in 2011 by a group of dynamic and committed women, many of whom still volunteer with us.
These women had a passion to address an unmet need in the community: supporting those facing extreme hardship to gain and retain employment.

They recognised that helping people facing barriers to employment including domestic violence, intergenerational poverty, substance abuse, homelessness, and mental health issues, was key to breaking cycles of disadvantage and improving a person’s psychological, physical, and financial well–being – ultimately enabling greater participation in life and sense of empowerment and social inclusion.
Ready Set’s unique solution is to empower the whole person by enhancing their external appearance through styling and appropriate clothing, developing their toolkit for job-hunting, fostering their sense of connection, and most importantly, building their confidence and self-belief.
Ready Set has proudly supported close to 12,000 individuals since opening its doors and demand for its services continues to grow. We know that our support has the power to lift the most vulnerable people in our community out of disadvantage.
